Spandos Addiction

This week I received my third..yes third..Oiselle Spandos Jane bra. I guess it is finally time to admit that I am a Spandos bra addict.

My beauties

Earlier in the year, Oiselle created a line of new gear with a print that would be released each month called Spandos. The main details of Spandos are:
  • Seamless and tag-less
  • Made in the USA
  • Premium Interlock fabric (aka, super soft, moisture wicking)
  • High Saturation prints
Typically each month the print is released in two styles of bras, a short, and capris. Once the style is sold out, you must wait until the next month to view the new print and for the opportunity to buy that style.

The first month that Spandos were released, I immediately purchased the Jane bra and shorts. I was weary regarding the shorts as I typically do not wear that style of shorts, but I did not want to miss out. The high demand of Spandos will give you FOMO, so naturally one's instinct is to buy first and ask questions later.

While it turns out the shorts were a bit too short for my liking, the Jane bra was AMAZING. The fabric was butter soft on my skin and extremely flattering. I wrote the bra for a 10 mile run in humid conditions and found the fabric very moisture-wicking and I did not experience any chafing. It became my favorite bra to wear.

So flattering!

When the next two prints were released, I purchased the base bra even though I was not a huge fan of the print. This style was a bit different than the Jane bra, and unfortunately it did not work for me. I have broad shoulders and I found the style to be constricting across my back and shoulders, and not as flattering as the Jane bra. I was able to swap the bra to another happy Oiselle home and looked forward to the next release of the print.

Two prints later, I now own three styles of the Jane bra. The Spandos material is by far my favorite Oiselle bra to wear and I have found myself reaching for this bra for every run, hence the reason I have purchased so many. The fabric is still rich looking and soft feeling after many washes, and the style is supportive without leaving my chest feeling squished and chafed. I also love that I can pick the prints that really speak to me and my style. I feel like the Spandos prints are like a personality test, and it is neat to see which prints speak to which runners.

The bra is even amazing as swimwear. I wrote the bra as a swim top in Lake Michigan and I felt confident wearing such a beautiful top and it dried very quickly after coming out of the lake.

Some people have disliked the fact that the "label" is printed on the outside of the fabric because there is no tag. While I agree that it is a bit strange and I don't always want to advertise my size, I typically wear a shirt over my bra and so this has not bothered me.

Now that I am unemployed I may need to cut back on my addiction at the moment, but I cannot recommend this bra enough. I am rarely motivated to push products on others that I do not absolutely love since everyone has their personal preferences, but this needs to be a staple for any woman athlete.
