Vulnerability

Image
Sensing a theme with podcasts this week, I recently listened to the latest episode of Trail Runner Nation. The topic of this podcast was " Vulnerability: Our Greatest Measure of Courage " and I was deeply inspired and engaged during this episode.

I Will Always Have Running

Image
Recently on a run I was listening to an episode of the Marathon Training Academy podcast regarding the topic of balancing running and life. One of the guests spoke about moving to a new country, quitting her job, but found running. Even though her life had changed she said "I will always have running".

Trail Tuesday 2/21

Everyone was talking about the Snow Moon a few weeks ago and I was thankful to get a few good pictures while out running. The weather has been AMAZING for February and so the thought of a "snow" moon seems silly, but it sure was pretty to look at on a clear night.

A Tale of Two Runs

Image
One of my favorite books is a A Tale of Two Cities and it is fitting to name this post after two vastly different runs I experienced this week. Sometimes it may appear that running is always enjoyable and easy, when that is not always the case. Before I present you with my tale of two runs, here was my training schedule for the week:

Trail Tuesday 2/14

In honor of Valentine's Day, I am sharing my #RunLove by posting my favorite trail pictures. I have seen and experienced so many amazing moments in nature by choosing to opt outside and a day about love should most definitely include my love of running.

F^3 Lake Half Marathon - 2 weeks later

It is already hard to believe that it has been just over 2 weeks since the F^3 Lake Half Marathon. I finally feel like I am fully recovered and have enjoyed some warmer weather runs this week.

What I'm Wearing - Winter Edition

Image
February has arrived and I am still running outside. I have made it this far into winter and after training for a half during most of it, I have just about perfected what to wear. As I did at the end of fall with my Fall Edition post , I am going to share some of my favorite winter running pieces that have kept me warm and dry.

Trail Tuesday 2/7

Image
This week's Trail Tuesday will be a bit of a deviation from the norm. This past week I was in Austin and visited one of my favorite places, Jester King Brewery. It may seem odd to feature a brewery on a post about trails, but the connection this place has to it's land is uniquely amazing.

F^3 Lake Half Marathon - 1 week later

After enjoying Austin, Texas the past few days, I think it is safe to say I am officially thawed out and rested after the  F^3 Lake Half Marathon. If you missed my recap, you can read it here .
